Suspension & Braking
Designed to enhance the Defender’s behaviour on the road, JE’s Dynamic Suspension Kits employ our own lowering springs and anti-roll bars, alongside performance dampers from Fox Racing. Combined, these upgrades transform handling through greatly reduced body roll and much-improved damping, resulting in increased comfort. Our Defender 90 kit includes 30mm lowering springs front & rear which feature a softer spring rating to improve ride comfort, while our 110 kits feature lowered rear springs which help give the car a less nose-heavy look.
Our Performance Kit includes a set of Fox Performance Monotube Dampers valved to JE spec, JE Anti-Roll Bars Front & Rear, JE 30mm Lowering Spring (Rear only on Defender 110) and Fox Supersport Dampers featuring remote reservoirs on rear valved to JE spec.
It’s indicative of our understanding of Defenders that we know it is the smallest thing that can make the biggest difference to the Defender driving experience. How many of us have cursed the standard handbrake? We replace the awkward Defender handbrake with a conveniently mounted switch to help free up space in the driver’s footwell. It operates the factory fitted transmission handbrake at the press of a button.
While at the business end of the brake pedal the JE / AP Racing Big Brake kit -front – developed by our engineers, utilises AP Racing 6 piston callipers, 362mm grooved and vented discs and high performance brake pads for maximum stopping power.
Range Rover suspension tweaks need to be the best. We consider the best to be the Startech Air Suspension Lowering Module fitted on both L322 models, 2002 – 2012, and L405 2013 on.
Range Rover is in a league of its own in terms of potential performance upgrades. We carefully match the brakes to the performance of the car, with options from AP Racing and Brembo. RANGE ROVER SPORT
Range Rover Sport already has pretty sophisticated suspension. We give it a sportier character with a Startech Air Suspension Lowering Module, (L320, 2010 – 2013), TUV Approved. For post-2014 cars we also fit the Startech Air Suspension Lowering Module – L494 models.
Brembo is one of our favourites at JE; for the Range Rover Sport 2005-2014 we recommend a front brake upgrade kit, utilising Brembo callipers, discs and high performance brake pads for maximum stopping power and outstanding pedal feel.
Discovery isn’t a sports car, but it is a favourite for towing. Immense pulling power means a need for immense stopping power, hence our Brembo front brake upgrade kit with Brembo callipers, discs and high performance brake pads for maximum effectiveness and excellent pedal feel.
We help Evoque into hot-hatch tarritory with Startech lowering springs, dropping ride height by 30mm, helping reduce body roll and giving a sharper steering response. Made by Startech in Germany they are fully TUV approved and come with a comprehensive 3 year warranty.
Evoque is deceptively dynamic. The JE AP Racing Brake Kit, installed up front and developed by our in-house engineers, utilises AP Racing 6 piston callipers, 362mm grooved discs and high performance brake pads to ensure those dynamics are reined in when they need to be.
